Brochure/catalog with spiral binding
To bind brochures, magazines and other multi-page printed products saddle stitch, adhesive binding as well as wire-o-binding are used. Besides excellent handling (the pages can be fully spread without stress) spiral binding has a refreshingly youthful look. Holes are punched in the spine of the finished product to accommodate the wire helix which is machine-inserted and closed.
Depending on the number of pages, helixes with different diameters are used. With spiral binding, the cover can use a heavier paper than the content, and a different type of paper can be used. Our spiral bound brochures are normally printed in 4/4 colour, the cover can be optionally 4/0 colour.
The cover can comprise 4 pages, or it can simply comprise a 2-page cover sheet, while the content can vary almost arbitrarily with respect to scope; there is (almost) no upper limit. The number of inside pages must be divisible by 2. The format of the spiral bound product is: DIN A4 (21.0 x 29.7 cm). We offer the following finishing options for the cover: one or two-sided film laminating matt or glossy, or high gloss UV coating. To further customise the Wire-O binding, printplaza offers a transparent foil cover sheet in combination with sulphate card for the underside, DIN hole punching, and perforation of content or cover pages in order to allow you to detach elements such as postcards.
Finishing and optional customisation options are available individually or in various combinations. The paper variants available for the cover are art print paper matt or glossy with a grammage of 200 g/m² or 300 g/m². The content can also be printed on matt or glossy art print paper with a grammage of 115 g/m² or 150 g/m². As an alternative, the content can also be printed on 80 g/m² offset paper. The minimum print run is 100 copies.
